Con el objetivo de continuar inspirando a miles de pequeñas a alcanzar sus sueños, Barbie, otorgó 450 becas para que las niñas aprendieran de tecnología a través de un concepto llamado “Tech Party”. Un proyecto desarrollado de la mano de Epic Queen, primera organización mexicana de niñas y mujeres en tecnología, para ofrecerles una increíble experiencia de aprendizaje y diversión.
Estas fiestas tecnológicas consisten en diversos talleres, donde las niñas aprendieron sobre programación, planeación, métodos científicos, resolución de problemas de manera creativa y divertida; ingeniería electrónica y robótica.
“La experiencia que las niñas realizaron el día de hoy, tienen como fin el desarrollo de nuevas habilidades, mismas que abrirán e inspirarán su panorama de posibilidades y sobre todo las impulsará para que conquisten sus sueños. Barbie tiene un compromiso de largo plazo con este propósito de inspirar a las niñas a ser lo que quieran ser”, reiteró Luis Araiza, Director de Recursos Humanos de Mattel.
Los padres de familia también fueron pieza fundamental durante el evento, ya que, mientras las niñas se divertían, ellos tuvieron oportunidad de tener contacto con una experta en género, educación y tecnología en la conferencia “Romper la Brecha de Sueños”, donde se platicó sobre la importancia del desarrollo de habilidades tecnológicas en las niñas actualmente y de los factores que impiden que las niñas alcancen su máximo potencial.
“Barbie Tech Party” también se realizó en las ciudades de Guadalajara y Monterrey y el 27 de diciembre se estará llevando a cabo en León; dando oportunidad a que más niñas exploren sus habilidades y desarrollen talentos que, con compromiso y dedicación, las lleven al éxito.
