Buena Vista Original Productions presenta su nueva producción original: Femicidios, serie de ficción basada en casos reales de violencia de género, con un eje argumental centrado en historias de mujeres que la sufrieron y que, con el tamiz de la pantalla, pueden volver a tener voz y revelar detalles de la situación en la que se vieron inmersas.
Los episodios son producidos y rodados en Argentina, Colombia, México y Brasil: cada país está desarrollando diez de los casos más resonantes ocurridos en su suelo. Cada episodio es narrado desde el punto de vista de la víctima, que expone en primera persona su caso, deja entrever las particularidades de la sociedad donde ocurrió y revela las características del sistema de justicia local.
La producción y rodaje de Femicidios está a cargo de cuatro casas productoras. En Argentina, el proyecto es realizado por POLKA, la mayor productora de ficción del país y responsable, además, de la idea original. En Colombia es Vista Producciones, compañía productora y comercializadora de televisión de gran trayectoria en la producción de series, telenovelas y realities. En México, la producción está a cargo de BTF Media, productora de contenido audiovisual con visión disruptiva, conformada por un grupo multidisciplinario y plurifocal dirigido por diversos talentos y especialistas en las áreas de la comunicación y las artes. En Brasil, la casa productora es Cinefilm, compañía independiente que crea diferentes contenidos para TV y está formada por profesionales con amplia experiencia en el mercado audiovisual.
Femicidios llegará a las pantallas de Latinoamérica en 2021.
