Después de ser presentada con gran éxito en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guadalajara (FICG), la comedia romántica, Dime Cuando Tú, llega a los cines de México el viernes 25 de diciembre. Esta cinta marca el regreso a la pantalla grande de Verónica Castro y presenta un elenco de primer nivel, con talentos de la talla de Héctor Bonilla, José Carlos Ruiz, Jesús Zavala (Club de Cuervos, Veinteañera, Divorciada y Fantástica) y Ximena Romo (Esto no es Berlín, Mentada de Padre).
Dime Cuando Tú, distribuida por Cinépolis Distribución, es la ópera prima de Gerardo Gatica González, quien estuvo a cargo de la producción de éxitos como Solteras (2019) y Un Padre no tan Padre (2016). Además, representa el debut como cinefotógrafo de Michelle Castro, hijo menor de
Verónica Castro. Ambos también son productores ejecutivos del filme.
Se trata de una comedia romántica sobre el amor y sus oportunidades, la cual plantea a la audiencia la siguiente interrogante: “¿Qué haces cuando la mujer perfecta sólo quiere ser tu amiga?”. El personaje central es Will (Jesús Zavala), un joven mexicanoamericano que, al morir su abuelo, descubre los planes que éste tenía de mandarlo a México para conocer sus raíces.
Así es como Will, harto de su vida rutinaria, decide tomar el reto y visitar la Ciudad de México (otra de las protagonistas de esta historia), sin imaginar que será ahí donde encontrará a un grupo entrañable de amigos y a la que podría ser el amor de su vida, Dani (Ximena Romo).
En palabras de Verónica Castro: “esta historia es puro amor. Es sobre la ilusión de estar enamorado y yo creo que esa es la ilusión más grande, el momento más bello que nos puede suceder a todos”. La actriz y cantante agrega: “Es un momento muy bueno para ver esta película, porque habla del amor y yo creo que el amor nunca va a desaparecer. Nunca. Por más pandemias o lo que sea, y aquí lo van a encontrar.”
Dime Cuando Tú también cuenta con la participación del influencer y youtuber mexicano Juca Viapri, quien incursionó en el cine en 2019; además de los talentosos Rosa María Bianchi (Amores Perros), Andrés Almeida (Tiempo Compartido) y Gabriel Nuncio (Luis Miguel, la Serie).
La película estará disponible a partir del 25 de diciembre en 1,000 salas de cine a nivel nacional.
